Altrincham College celebrates GCSE Results Day 2024

Altrincham College celebrated another year of results day success as students gathered this morning to receive their GCSE Results.

Headteacher and CEO of the Achieve and Learn Trust, Kim Earle, said: “We are delighted to see that the number of grades awarded at 9-5 has increased again this year, which is testament to the hard work, effort and determination of students and staff alike.  Well done!”

There were some incredible individual achievements, including Rutuja who achieved grade 9s – the highest possible – across the board!  Rutuja said, “it’s amazing!  I am so happy that all the hard work paid off.”

Congratulations also to Maggie who achieved ten grade 9s and one grade 8, and Gabia who was awarded eight grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7.   Maggie said, "I'm excited and relieved. It's been nerve-wracking waiting. I found English Literature and Maths quite hard so I'm especially happy with those results."

Further success stories include Alizah, Charlie J and Ivan who all achieved six grade 9s. Head Girl Chloe S was delighted to secure top grades of 7s, 8s and 9s in all her subjects.  She said, “I am feeling very happy today as I got the results that I worked hard for.”

Ms Earle would also like to recognise the fantastic progress made by students in Year 11, with a special mention to Eliza S, Maddie M, Charlotte T, Kai C, Ruby C, Isobel S, Roisin TD.

Staff are looking forward to greeting lots of familiar faces in September when many of our students return to join Altrincham College’s Sixth Form to commence A Level and vocational courses.

External students who wish to join our exciting, high-achieving Sixth Form are very welcome to contact Mr Mahmood, Head of Sixth Form, to discuss course options and availability: amd@altrinchamcollege.com
