Throughout years 7-11, Charlotte’s ice skating went from strength to strength, and we are proud to be able to continue supporting her as she has made the transition into Sixth Form, allowing her to be able to achieve both her skating ambitions and maintain excellent grades.

Acknowledging and celebrating the achievements and successes of our pupils is paramount to us, and we are delighted to share Charlotte’s impressive story with you.

In February 2014 Charlotte made it onto the Great Britain synchronised ice skating squad and since then has been travelling to Cardiff every weekend to train with the team.  She has also been lucky enough to attend training camps in Europe with other senior level and national teams.

Competitively this season Charlotte has been skating with three teams:

  • Creation - Mixed Age (lower level team)
  • Destiny - Junior - a higher level team
  • Spirit - Senior team - who are also currently the GB national team.

In November 2014 they competed at the International Masters in Dunkirk, with Team Spirit achieving 4th place, and Destiny being crowned silver medallists. They then competed in the Wales and West National Competition where Spirit were silver medallists and Creation came 4th.

In January of this year, Charlotte and her teams gave a fantastic performance at the British National Championships with Creation achieving the Bronze medal, Destiny the Silver medal and Spirit winning the gold medal and being crowned British National Champions.

Continuing the momentum, the teams went on to compete in Scotland for Trophy D'Ecosse ISU International, securing Bronze and Silver Medals for Creation and Spirit respectively.

In addition to her performing, Charlotte also completed her coaching qualifications in October and is now a registered level 1 coach, and is planning to take further national level tests soon in order to further her coaching career.

We are passionate about helping our students achieve their dreams. We are all immensely impressed with Charlotte’s ever continuing success, and filled with pride for her.
